Medeama goalkeeper Felix Kyei has said that his outfit ultimate objective this season is to compete for every trophy.
The Yellow and Mauve are on course for the double this season after defeating Samartex 1996 to reach the quarterfinal of the FA Cup and also find themselves on top of the Ghana Premier League table after 21 matches.
The match, held at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa saw Medeama and Samartex settling for a pulsating goalless draw after regular time, forcing the teams to settle the tie via penalty shootouts.
However, it was the Yellow and Mauve who prevailed with a 4-2 victory on penalties, ensuring qualification to the last eight of the Cup competition this season.
“We are competing for every trophy this season” he said after victory over Samartex. “We want to win any competition we find ourselves in, but we will take it game by game”
With this victory, Medeama continue their impressive run and will look to build momentum as the FA Cup competition heats up.
Medeama SC will take on Division One League side Attram De Visser Academy in the last eight of the competition in a date yet to be decided by both FA Cup Committee and the Ghana Football Association.
