Nations FC CEO Kennedy Boakye Ansah has confirmed that a recent visit by Black Stars coaching staff was largely influenced by the presence of defender Razak Simpson, while also opening the door for other club talents to be noticed.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Ansah explained the scouting visit in clear terms, tying it directly to Simpson’s strong form and national team credentials.
“I’m pretty sure Razak was one of the reasons they cameânot only to watch him but also to assess some of the other talents we have,” Ansah stated.
This acknowledgement reinforces Simpson’s standing as a player firmly on Ghana’s radar ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It also shines a light on Nations FC’s growing reputation as a hub for emerging talent in the Ghana Premier League.
Simpson, who last featured for Ghana in May 2025 and scored his maiden international goal, has been described by his CEO as a player of “tremendous commitment, discipline, and zeal” for the national cause.
With Black Stars officials actively monitoring his performancesâand those of his teammatesâthe push for Simpson’s recall gains further momentum as Ghana prepares for crucial international fixtures.
