Kurt Okraku has highlighted steady progress at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, pointing to key upgrades meant to support players and officials across the football space.
The Ghana FA President explained that work is ongoing on two natural grass pitches, alongside other important facilities designed to make Prampram a true home for football activities. He also expressed appreciation to FIFA for its continued backing of the FA’s development plans.
Speaking to GFA Communications in an exclusive interview, Okraku noted that the vision goes beyond pitches, with attention given to fitness, security, and comfort for all users. He stressed that every step taken is aimed at creating a welcoming base where teams can train and administrators can work in the right environment.
"At the moment we are constructing two new natural grass pitches. We are in the final stages of the gym. We have completed the multi-purpose recreational court. Fencing providing adequate security fencing the entire land space is about starting and then the investment in the legacy project from the Qatar 22 world cup is also in its right stage," he said.
"So I think that we are very much determined to make Prampram a home for all our footballers and administrators, everybody in the football ecosystem. It is the base for all our trainings and when it is that people leave the comfort of their homes and arrive in Prampram they should also feel at home.
"In saying this let me say thank you to FIFA for all the support there's never been any project that has been submitted by the FA to FIFA that has been turned down by the the governing body of the sport and it is a confidence. It shows the confidence that FIFA has in the leadership of the of the FA and I'm grateful for their support. I think that together we would change Prampram to be what we want it to be,"
