Interim head coach Asante Kotoko Prince Yaw Owusu says he remains unfazed by mounting calls for his dismissal following the club’s latest setback in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were frustrated to a goalless draw by 10-man Vision FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in their Matchday 24 fixture â a result that has intensified scrutiny around the team.
Owusu, who has overseen just three matches since stepping in for Karim Zito, made it clear he is concentrating solely on his responsibilities despite the growing pressure from sections of the club’s support base.
“They are free to call for it (my sack), that is a decision for management to make. For me, I’m not worried about it,” Owusu said after the match.
“I just go out there and do my job and leave the rest to management. If they make the call today, I will respect it.”
Kotoko currently occupy fourth place on the league table with 39 points. They are set to face Karela United in their next outing, scheduled for Matchday 25.
