Medeama SC have officially confirmed that striker Abdul Rahaman Mohammed has joined Ethiopian side Arba Minch Kenema on loan until July 2026, the end of the 2025/2026 football season.
The temporary move is aimed at giving the forward valuable playing time as he continues his development away from Tarkwa.
Abdul Rahaman Mohammed joined the Mauve and Yellows during the second transfer window as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with TRA United SC in Tanzania. Before his move abroad, the striker featured in the Ghana Premier League with Nsoatreman FC, where he played a role in the club’s historic triumph in the 2024 MTN FA Cup.
Despite arriving with promise earlier this year, the forward is yet to make an official appearance for Medeama since completing his move to the Tarkwa-based side.
Club officials believe the loan switch to Ethiopia will provide the attacker with the competitive minutes needed to sharpen his form and regain full match fitness ahead of the next campaign.
The move also offers Mohammed an opportunity to showcase his abilities in the Ethiopian top flight while continuing his growth as a player.
Medeama Sporting Club have extended their best wishes to the forward during his spell abroad and expressed confidence that the experience will prove beneficial to both the player and the club.
The Mauve and Yellows will be hoping the striker returns from Ethiopia stronger and ready to make an impact in the future.
