Danish international of Ghanaian descent, Nikolas Nartey, is facing an uncertain future at German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
According to German sources, the midfielder is likely to leave Stuttgart at the end of the 2025/26 football season.
The 26-year-old joined the club in 2019 and has become a key man for this side in the past year after facing several injury setbacks.
As VfB Stuttgart prepares in advance for next season, the club is reportedly engaging players to extend their contracts.
While Nikolas Nartey is one of the players who has been engaged, the club is yet to make a breakthrough at the negotiation table. It is understood that Nartey has been offered a two-year deal but has yet to accept the terms of the extension.
Together with other players such as star man Deniz Undav, VfB Stuttgart are hoping to extend the contract of its key players before the end of the season. â
If nothing changes in the next few months, Nartey could leave the club in the summer transfer window.
Several sources have revealed that a number of clubs in Germany are monitoring the situation and would consider the midfielder’s signing at the end of the season.
