Asante Kotoko Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, has revealed that the club is actively working to appoint an experienced head coach ahead of the upcoming season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently without a permanent head coach following the resignation of Karim Zito, with Prince Yaw Owusu stepping in on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Duku confirmed that discussions are underway to bring in a seasoned tactician capable of reshaping the team.
“We are hoping and working to appoint an experienced manager going into next season,” he said. “It could be either a local coach or an expatriate coach who can transform the playing body.”
Despite their inconsistent form this season, Duku insisted the club is not giving up on the current campaign, even with limited games remaining.
“The season is almost over for Asante Kotoko with four games to end the season, but we are not giving up as a club because anything can happen,” he added.
Kotoko have endured a difficult league campaign and currently sit sixth on the table, trailing leaders Medeama by 10 points, with their title hopes fading as the season draws to a close.
