The head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has lamented over his team’s defeat to Dreams FC in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The coach and his team from Tarkwa travelled to Swedru over the weekend, hoping to record a win over their semi-final opponent to reach the final of the competition.
Despite a spirited performance, Medeama SC fell short at full time, losing 3-2 to Dreams FC and bowing out of the FA Cup.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko bemoaned the manner of the defeat, arguing that his side conceded cheap goals.
“I think the goals we conceded were very easy. Normally, as a team, you don’t have to concede these kinds of goals. But in some parts of the game, we did so well, especially in the goals we scored. It’s painful that we didn’t get to the finals, but I think I have to congratulate Dreams FC,” he told Max TV.
With the dream of winning the double at the end of the 2025/26 football season gone, Medeama SC will now focus all attention on winning the Ghana Premier League.
