Barcelona have intensified their interest in promising Belgian-Ghanaian winger Jesse Bisiwu, with reports indicating that discussions have begun with Club Brugge over a possible move for the highly rated 18-year-old.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Barcelona scouting chief Joao Amaral recently met Club Brugge representatives in Switzerland to explore a deal for Bisiwu, who currently features for the Belgian side’s reserve and U19 teams. Amaral and sporting director Deco are said to have already held discussions with the youngster’s entourage, underlining how serious the Catalan club are about bringing him to Spain.
Bisiwu, a winger, enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 UEFA Youth League campaign, making eight appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He also started in Club Brugge U19’s defeat to Real Madrid U19 in the Youth League final, further raising his profile on the European stage.
The youngster began his football journey at Oud-Heverlee Leuven, where he spent six years from 2014 to 2020 before joining Club Brugge’s academy. With his current contract set to expire next year and renewal talks reportedly on hold, Barcelona sense an opportunity to move early for one of Belgium’s most exciting prospects.
