Carlos Queiroz has made a strong early statement after taking charge of Ghana, stressing the quality within the squad and the importance of togetherness.
The new Black Stars head coach was officially unveiled on Thursday at a brief ceremony at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, marking the start of his short-term mission with the national team.
The 73-year-old Portuguese tactician has signed a four-month deal to lead Ghana toward the upcoming tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States this summer. He replaces Otto Addo, who previously held the role.
Queiroz made it clear that talent alone will not be enough, pointing to unity as the key factor in achieving success on the pitch.
"Ghana have the talent I am sure and have the confidence and I believe that we can assemble a good team a great team to perform on the pitch," he said.
"Not always a group of special talent of players they can be on the pitch as a great team it is why I am confident my goal and my staff that from today on we make our players understand. If we player together as a team one Ghana we can beat any opponent in this world," he added.
