Newly appointed Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz began his tenure by scouting local talent at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
Accompanied by his revamped technical team, the veteran strategist observed the Black Galaxies’ training session just a day after his formal unveiling at the Alisa Hotel, signaling a hands-on approach to his four-month World Cup mandate.
The visit served as a scouting mission for Queiroz, who has pledged a "fair opportunities" policy for home-based players.
Joining him on the pitch were his long-time collaborator and first assistant, Roger de Sa, alongside assistant coaches Desmond Ofei and John Paintsil.
Ofei, recently promoted from his successful stint with the Black Satellites, and Paintsil, a veteran of the previous administration, are expected to bridge the gap between local insights and Queiroz’s international experience.

With Ghana drawn into Group L against Panama, England, and Croatia, Queiroz is working under a tight schedule to finalize his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His presence at the local side's session, supported by goalkeeper trainer Fatau Dauda, suggests a departure from previous regimes by actively integrating Ghana Premier League standouts into the senior national setup.
The technical team will now shift focus to their final overseas preparations, including a crucial friendly against Mexico.
Queiroz's immediate immersion into the local football scene has heightened expectations as the Black Stars aim for a historic deep run in the upcoming global tournament.
