Yaw Yeboah shines with assist in Qingdao Hainiu's win over Shandong Taishan

Yaw Yeboah delivered a standout display for Qingdao Hainiu, capping it with a late assist in their impressive 4–1 home victory over Shandong Taishan in the Chinese Super League.

The Ghanaian attacker was lively throughout, constantly stretching the visitors’ back line and threatening on the counter.

His big moment arrived in the 79th minute when he drove at the Shandong defence before picking out Yonghao Jin, who finished clinically to make it 3–0 and effectively kill the contest. Earlier, goals from Chuangyi Lin and Malcom Edjouma had put Qingdao firmly in control before Shandong briefly threatened a late fightback. Ahmed El Messaoudi’s stoppage-time strike restored the three-goal cushion and sealed a dominant win for the hosts.

For Yeboah, the assist continues a promising start to the 2026 campaign. He has now made 8 league appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the Chinese Super League. Qingdao Hainiu will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture, a tough home clash against title contenders Shanghai Port on Saturday, May 2.
