Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has shared his excitement about Kobbie Mainoo’s contract extension deal.
The English youngster of Ghanaian descent officially signed a new deal with the Red Devils on Thursday, extending his stay at the club until 2031.
Speaking on the new deal, Michael Carrick expressed his admiration for Kobbie Mainoo, stressing that everyone at the club is delighted with the latest development.
“I have been hugely impressed with Kobbie Mainoo since I’ve been here. Everyone is over the moon, including me, that he’s signed a new contract,” Carrick said.
The Manchester United manager continued, “He epitomises this football club, a young player who has come through the academy and who has lived the dream”.
Mainoo has been an integral part of Manchester United since breaking into the first team. Under Michael Carrick, the 21-year-old has been a regular and continues to excel in midfield.
