Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams says a potential call-up to the Black Stars rests entirely with head coach Carlos Queiroz.
The in-form midfielder has been one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League this season, playing a key role in Medeama’s push for the title. His recent display, including a brace in Sunday’s top-of-the-table win over Gold Stars at the TnA Stadium, further strengthened his case for national team consideration.
The victory moved Medeama four points clear at the summit with four matches remaining, placing them firmly on course for what would be only their second league title.
Adams, who was named man of the match, remained measured when asked about his chances of breaking into the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
“Everything depends on Carlos Queiroz. I’m ready for a Black Stars call-up,” he said.
The midfielder was among several home-based players observed by Queiroz during recent Black Galaxies friendlies against Heart of Lions and Aduana FC. While the Portuguese coach is yet to reveal his final squad, there is growing expectation that local-based players could be considered.
Queiroz is expected to name his squad by June 1, with Ghana set to begin their World Cup campaign on June 17 against Panama in Toronto before facing England and Croatia.
