Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has declared his intention to return to the club in a coaching capacity, revealing plans to take up the role of goalkeepers' coach in the future.
Attah, who was part of the Hearts team that won the historic double in 2021, is currently learning the ropes of coaching while sharpening his skills. He believes that the doors at his former club will be open when the time is right.
"The Hearts of Oak goalkeeper's coaching job is there for me. I, together with Ben Mensah, will take up that job in the future. That's why I'm learning here. I will be working and learning around to sharpen my coaching skills before I come to take up the job," Attah said.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper spent years with the Phobians, becoming a fan favourite for his composure and shot-stopping ability. Together with Ben Mensah, another former Hearts goalkeeper, Attah envisions a return to the club to help develop the next generation of goalkeepers.
While he did not specify a timeline, his comments make it clear that his heart remains with the Accra-based giants. For now, Attah is focused on gaining experience and coaching badges, but his long-term goal is firmly set on a return to the club where he made his name.
