Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has made a bold claim, describing himself as the best shot-stopper to have played in the Ghana Premier League over the past ten years.
The 35-year-old, who was instrumental in Hearts of Oak's historic 2020/21 league and FA Cup double, believes his achievements and performances place him above every local goalkeeper in that period.
"I am not bragging, but on record in the last ten years there has been no keeper. I am not lying. I have won everything. Even Kotoko has never scored me before," Attah said in an interview.
Attah was crowned Goalkeeper of the Season during Hearts' title-winning campaign, which ended the club's decade-long drought. Before joining the Phobians, he had also impressed at Elmina Sharks.
He left Hearts of Oak in 2024 after a dip in form and later joined Port City FC in the Division One League, helping the club secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Attah has since transitioned into coaching and currently serves as assistant goalkeepers' trainer at the newly promoted side.
