Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to remain calm despite a costly 2-1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea that has narrowed their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking after the match at the Golden City Park, Tanko acknowledged that his side made several uncharacteristic errors but refused to sound the alarm.
"We just lost this game; we don't have to panic, but we just have to go and watch the video and correct our mistakes," Tanko said.
The loss leaves Medeama still top of the table with 56 points, but their advantage has been cut to just two points with only three matches remaining.
The title race is now tighter than ever, but Tanko believes there is no need for hysteria. Instead, the focus is on learning from the defeat and finishing the season strongly.
