Finnish Veikkausliiga side SJK Seinajoki have completed the signing of 18-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Asante Junior from Rumark Football Academy.
The talented enforcer has put pen to paper on a two-year contract that runs until the end of the 2028 season, with an option for an additional year. The deal marks the youngster's first move to European football.
According to a statement from the club, Asante will initially join the SJK Academy ranks to continue his development. He has already made a few appearances for the youth team in the early stages of the current season.
"Seinäjoki Football Club has signed a new player contract with 18-year-old Ghanaian Emmanuel Asante Junior. Asante's contract is valid for the 2026â2028 seasons and includes an option for one additional year," the club announced.
"He will start for SJK Academy and has already represented SJK in the Academy ranks in a few matches. Asante, who is comfortable as a midfielder, will join SJK from the Ghanaian Rumark Football Academy. Welcome to Seinajoki, Emmanuel!"
The teenage midfielder will now look to settle into his new environment and impress the technical handlers at the OmaSP Stadion. Success at the Finnish club could also put him on the radar of Ghana's national team selectors in the future.
