Medeama SC forward Kingsley Braye has called on his teammates to remain fully focused as the club closes in on the Ghana Premier League title.
Despite Medeama currently leading the league standings, Braye insists the team cannot afford to relax with two crucial matches remaining in the season.
The striker scored the decisive goal in Medeama’s 1-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars FC in Week 32, but made it clear after the match that the title race is not over.
“We are not yet champions, so we want to work hard and win the two remaining matches,” Braye told Medi TV.
Medeama will now turn their attention to a difficult fixture against Heart of Lions FC as they continue their push for league glory.
A victory in the upcoming encounter would move the Tarkwa-based club one step closer to securing the championship.
The forward also expressed hope that he can continue his scoring form in the next game and help his side maintain momentum at this critical stage of the season.
“We don’t know what will happen, but I would love to score again against Heart of Lions,” Braye added.
With only two matches left in the campaign, Medeama remain favourites to lift the Ghana Premier League trophy.
However, the players are aware that any slip-up could reopen the title race, making concentration and consistency crucial in the final weeks of the season.
