ArthurLegacy Sports has thrown its support behind a week-long youth development programme that will bring Italian club Como 1907 to Ghana through the efforts of Sports Create Memories and its founder, Danish social entrepreneur Laura Juul Hansen.
The initiative aims to use football, education and community engagement to inspire young people and create opportunities for the next generation.
During their stay in Ghana, representatives of Como 1907 will take part in football activities, school visits, community outreach programmes and cultural events designed to encourage young people to pursue their ambitions regardless of their background.
The programme seeks to demonstrate how sport can serve as a pathway to personal growth, education and life-changing opportunities.
A major event during the visit will be a special dinner hosted by the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, bringing together dignitaries including the Danish Ambassador, representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the Director of Diaspora Relations, members of the Vatican delegation and stakeholders from the sporting community.
ArthurLegacy Sports CEO Oliver Arthur said supporting the initiative aligned with the organisation's mission of using football as a tool to transform lives.
According to Arthur, the programme goes beyond football and is focused on showing young people that they can achieve their goals through hard work, discipline and belief in themselves.
Sports Create Memories has gained recognition for using sport to connect communities and create opportunities for children across Africa.
The Ghana programme is expected to leave a lasting impact by giving young people access to international role models, cultural exchange opportunities and experiences that encourage them to dream bigger and pursue a brighter future.
Como 1907 are expected to arrive in Ghana this week for the programme.
