Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic insists his team is far from their best ahead of the World Cup in North America.
The 2018 runners-up secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Slovenia in their final preparatory game.
Croatia had lost to Belgium 2-0 few days earlier as part of preparations and with less than a week to start the World Cup, Dalic remains unconvinced.
"A tough match, our opponent created too many chances for us. We won, we had possession, but I'm worried about a lot of technical errors. The Slovenian transition was dangerous because we didn't stand well. But all in all it was good, we saw what we wanted and now we have to prepare for the English," he said.
Croatia will begin their tournament with a game against England in Group L, before facing Panama and Ghana respectively.
"The training and atmosphere were great, but the matches weren't what I expected, they weren't the best. But everyone is struggling with the warm-up matches, we saw what and how we need to prepare for the English. There are things we need to fix, now the real thing starts. The opponent is punishing our mistakes and it's up to us to fix it. Our goal was also to get the players back in shape, KovaÄiÄ, Guardiola and ModriÄ."
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are preparing for the tournament in Rhode Island at the Bryant University.
Coach Carlos Queiroz is putting finishing touches to his team before they leave for Toronto for the group opener against Panama.
