One of Ghana's Group L opponents at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, England, are placing a strong emphasis on team unity as they chase a first World Cup title in 60 years.
The Three Lions begin their campaign against Croatia next Wednesday before taking on the Black Stars on June 23 in Arlington, Texas.
Midfielder Jude Bellingham believes England have learned valuable lessons from their disappointing Euro 2024 campaign, where they reached the final but lost to Spain.
The Real Madrid star admitted the squad lacked togetherness away from the pitch despite progressing to the final.
"At the Euros we got some things a little bit wrong off the pitch," Bellingham said on England's Lions' Den show.
"I don't feel like the group connected as well as it could have for a number of reasons. Expectation was part of it, and we were not playing particularly well, so even when we were winning you didn't get the feeling you were as happy as you should be."
Bellingham believes England have addressed those issues ahead of the World Cup and says every member of the squad must feel valued.
"I think this time round, having those experiences, everyone's got to feel loved and feel a huge part of the team. The other thing is just to enjoy it."
His teammate Morgan Rogers echoed that sentiment, insisting there is a stronger bond within the squad.
"We are really aligned and it is really easy and seamless for anyone to fit in the group," the Aston Villa forward said.
"Wherever you are from, wherever you play, ages, it doesn't matter in this group. It is a joy to be here."
England are among the favourites to win the tournament and will face Ghana in what is expected to be one of the standout matches in Group L.
