Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says he is determined to use the lessons from his first FIFA World Cup appearance to help Ghana achieve a stronger showing at the 2026 tournament.
The winger is part of Carlos Queiroz's 26-man squad preparing in Providence, Rhode Island, ahead of the Black Stars' opening Group L fixture against Panama.
Ghana arrived in the state on Thursday after wrapping up their final training camp in Virginia.
For Issahaku, a second appearance on football's biggest stage represents both an honour and an opportunity to contribute more significantly to the national team's ambitions.
"I feel amazing because, you know, it's always a dream come true to be part of a World Cup team. I'm privileged to be part of the team and this is the second time. The first time was an experience and I learned a lot. I think I'm going to put in a lot to help the team get to a better position."
The Black Stars head into the tournament with a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talent, including captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Iñaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo and goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
Training sessions and community engagement activities have been scheduled in Rhode Island before Ghana travel to Toronto for their tournament opener.
After facing Panama on June 17, Ghana will take on England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia as they seek a place in the knockout stages.
