Kazakhstan Premier League side FK Zhenys have announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Patrick Kpozo, adding experience and versatility to their squad ahead of the new season.
The 28-year-old joins the club after spells across several European leagues, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained from playing in Sweden, Moldova and the Czech Republic.
Zhenys confirmed the move in an official statement, expressing confidence that the Ghanaian will significantly strengthen the team's defensive setup.
Kpozo is widely recognized for his pace, attacking instincts and ability to operate in multiple positions.
Although primarily a left-back, he is also capable of playing as a wing-back and in midfield, providing tactical flexibility for his new side.
A product of Ghanaian club Inter Allies FC, Kpozo moved to Europe at a young age and developed his game in Sweden with AIK and Ostersunds FK.
His career reached new heights during his time with Moldovan giants Sheriff Tiraspol, where he enjoyed considerable success, winning two league titles and two domestic cups.
The former Ghana U-20 international later continued his career in the Czech Republic, featuring for BanÃk Ostrava before making the switch to Kazakhstan.
His consistent performances in Europe also earned him recognition at national team level, receiving invitations to the Black Stars setup.
Zhenys believe Kpozo's experience in continental competitions and his leadership qualities will be invaluable as the club seeks to strengthen its ambitions.
The defender arrives with a reputation for reliability, athleticism and technical quality, attributes that have made him a respected figure throughout his professional career.
