Ghanaian defender Thomas Boakye was on the scoresheet but could not prevent Ãngelholms FF from slipping to a 3â2 defeat away to Tvååkers IF in Ettan Södra on Thursday evening.
Boakye opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, timing his run perfectly to turn home and give the visitors a 1â0 lead. Tvååkers hit back quickly through Mergim Laci’s equaliser on 27 minutes before Isak Wiman completed the turnaround ten minutes later to make it 2â1 before the break.
Ãngelholms responded after half-time when Vilgot Carlsson struck in the 56th minute to level the contest at 2â2. However, Wiman grabbed his second of the game in the 68th minute, restoring Tvååkers’ advantage and ultimately sealing all three points for the hosts.
Boakye completed the full match from his defensive berth, adding an attacking edge but unable to rescue a result as Ãngelholms’ recent mixed league form continued.
Ãngelholms now turn their attention to cup action, where they face BK Astrio at home on Tuesday, June 23.
