The official vehicle partner of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), JAC Motors, has adjudged Thomas Partey as the Man of the Match following his outstanding performance against England in Ghana's second Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Partey returned to the Black Stars starting lineup for the crucial encounter in Boston after missing the opening game against Panama due to visa issues.
The midfielder played the entire duration of the match as Carlos Queiroz's side produced a resolute defensive display to hold England to a goalless draw.
The result moved Ghana to four points, having beaten Panama 1-0 in their opening fixture, putting the Black Stars on the brink of the knockout stages for the first time since 2010.
Partey's commanding performance in the heart of midfield was instrumental in frustrating England's star-studded attack. His defensive awareness, ball recovery, and leadership helped shield the backline and maintain Ghana's compact shape throughout the contest.
The former Arsenal man's outing was convincing enough to earn him the JAC Motors MVP award. He received a plaque and an amount of $2000 for being named the MVP by the GFA committee.
JAC Motors will also reward the chosen best player from the game between Ghana and Croatia on Sunday, June 27, as well as subsequent games at the World Cup involving the Black Stars.
For Partey, the recognition is a testament to his importance to the Black Stars and his ability to deliver on the biggest stage.
