Ghana's Black Maidens have intensified preparations for Friday's FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifier against Senegal by holding their first training session in Dakar.
The team trained at the Centre d'Excellence Youssoupha Ndiaye in Guéréo on Thursday, with all 24 players taking part in an intensive workout as preparations gathered pace ahead of the crucial first-leg encounter.
Head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa and his technical team focused on tactical organisation, ball possession, movement and fitness as they began fine-tuning the squad for the clash.
The session also brought encouraging news for the Black Maidens, with the entire squad completing training without injury concerns.
The clean bill of health gives the technical team a full complement of players to choose from as Ghana targets a positive result away from home.
The Black Maidens will take on Senegal at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar on Friday, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
The team is expected to hold one final training session before the match as they put the finishing touches to preparations for the important World Cup qualifier.
