Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold '04 have opened talks with Division One League club Nsuopun Fidelity over the signing of defensive midfielder Isaac Kwadwo Fosu, multiple sources have confirmed.
According to sources close to the negotiations, the two clubs have initiated discussions regarding the transfer of the highly rated midfielder, with Ashantigold '04 currently leading the race for his signature.
Swedru All Blacks are also in the race to secure Fosu's signature, while a Turkish club is closely monitoring his progress ahead of a potential move.
The Turkish club are understood to be watching the midfielder's development closely, with a view to making a move should he impress in the Ghana Premier League.
Fosu has been one of Nsuopun Fidelity's standout performers in the Division One League, earning a reputation as a composed and intelligent defensive midfielder with excellent reading of the game.
His ability to break up opposition attacks and distribute the ball effectively has attracted interest from several clubs, with Ashantigold '04 now leading the chase.
The 2026/27 season will be Ashantigold '04's first in the Ghana Premier League. The club won the Division One League Zone Two title to secure promotion, finishing with 58 points and sealing their spot with three matches to spare.
As a newly promoted side, strengthening the midfield has been identified as a priority, and Fosu is seen as an ideal addition who can provide balance, defensive stability, and transition play.
