Ghana defender Gideon Mensah is inching closer to a move to German Bundesliga outfit FC Koln, according to reports.
FC Koln are reported to be in an advanced negotiations to sign the left-back Gideon Mensah on a free transfer following his superlative display for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Reports suggest that the two parties have already agreed on personal terms, with talks progressing positively as the German club looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Mensah, 27, is currently a free agent after leaving French side AJ Auxerre and is expected to complete the move if negotiations continue on the current path.
The left-back, who represented Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, would bring valuable international experience to FC Koln as they prepare for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign.
