Hearts of Oak have dismissed reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, the Ghana Premier League side described the reports circulating in the media and on social media as "false and without factual basis."
The Phobians stated that they have not placed any valuation on the goalkeeper and have not authorised any individual or media organisation to communicate a transfer fee or ask interested clubs to make offers on the player's behalf.
"Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare, and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf," the statement said.
The club, however, reiterated its willingness to consider offers that are in the best interest of both the player and the club, stressing that no official valuation has been communicated at this stage and that any figures currently being circulated remain speculative.
"As a professionally run football club, Hearts of Oak remains open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the club. However, no official valuation has been communicated at this time, and any figures currently in circulation are speculative," the statement added.
The record Ghana Premier League champions also appealed to the media, supporters and the general public to disregard unverified reports concerning Asare's future.
The club encouraged journalists and media organisations to verify information through Hearts of Oak's official communication channels before publication.
Hearts of Oak further praised the Black Stars shot-stopper for his recent achievements on the international stage and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting his continued development while safeguarding the integrity of the club's operations.
Speculation surrounding Asare's future has intensified in recent weeks after the goalkeeper impressed for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attracting reported interest from clubs outside the country.
However, Hearts of Oak's latest statement makes it clear that no official asking price has been set for the player despite the growing transfer rumours.
