Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah is on the verge of completing a return to Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars after agreeing personal terms on a three-year contract with his former club.
The deal is now awaiting final approval between Singida Black Stars and Simba SC, with negotiations between the two clubs progressing toward a full agreement.
Sources close to the transfer indicate that the move is being spearheaded by Dr Mwigulu Nchemba, who is in direct contact with Simba SC President Mohammed "Mo" Dewji as discussions continue over the final details of the transfer.
Sowah previously enjoyed a successful spell with Singida before earning a move to Simba SC, one of Tanzania's biggest clubs.
Although he arrived at Simba with high expectations, the 25-year-old endured a patchy campaign following bribery allegations levelled against him by the club last term, which ultimately led to a premature, mutual termination of his contract.
At the international level, the striker has earned three caps for Ghana's senior national team.
With personal terms already agreed, attention now turns to the negotiations between Singida Black Stars and Simba SC, as both clubs work to finalise the transfer.
Should the two clubs successfully conclude negotiations, Sowah will officially return to Singida Black Stars on a long-term deal, marking the latest chapter in the Ghanaian forward's career as he looks to rediscover his best form in the Tanzanian top flight.
Singida is expected to announce Sowah's return for a second spell, with the forward signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
