Moses Armah, bankroller of Medeama Sporting Club, has explained that the decision to bring in Sudanese national team goalkeeper Monged Abuzaud Salman is aimed at creating strong competition within the team.
Speaking about the club's transfer strategy, Parker said Medeama wants to improve competition in key areas of the squad, particularly the goalkeeping department, despite the availability and fitness of Felix Kyei.
"We want top competition in some of our positions, especially the goalkeeping aspect," Armah said.
He explained that having quality options in every position will push players to improve their performance and help the team maintain high standards throughout the season.
According to the Medeama owner, the arrival of the Sudanese shot-stopper is part of the club's strategy to build a competitive squad capable of challenging on all fronts. He stressed that healthy competition among goalkeepers and other players will benefit the team as everyone fights for a place in the starting lineup.
With Medeama preparing to defend their Ghana Premier League title and compete in the CAF Champions League, the club is building a squad capable of handling a demanding schedule.
