The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will conduct the official draw for the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship on Friday, August 7, at its headquarters in Accra.
The ceremony will be attended by Chairman of the MTN Elite U-19 Championship Committee, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, members of the organising committee and GFA officials, as the 10 Regional Football Association U-19 Select Teams learn their group-stage opponents.
This year's championship will be held from August 24 to September 4 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The tournament continues to play a key role in the GFA's youth development programme by providing a competitive platform for the country's brightest young footballers to showcase their talent. It also offers national youth team coaches and scouts an opportunity to identify players for future assignments.
The MTN Elite U-19 Championship forms part of the GFA's "Power to the Youth" agenda, which seeks to strengthen player development and create a clear pathway from juvenile football to the senior level.
Eastern Region are the defending champions after defeating Brong Ahafo Region on penalties in the inaugural final to become the competition's first winners.
