England and Ghana forward Kirsten Otchere has joined Cheltenham on loan from Leicester U21, giving the League Two club a 19-year-old centre-forward for the 2026-27 campaign.
Otchere’s move was completed on 4 August 2026 and runs until 31 May 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Leicester U21. The striker has signed for Cheltenham after spending the previous season with Leicester’s development side.
The forward has built his recent record in youth and development competitions, making 63 appearances and scoring 26 goals, with eight assists recorded. His overall tally includes 14 goals in 34 U18 Premier League matches and nine in 19 Premier League 2 appearances.
Otchere also scored in the Premier League Cup, Premier League International Cup Under-21 competition and National League Cup. He made one appearance in the Premier League 2 play-offs.
The move to Cheltenham represents a step into senior league football for a player whose recent experience has come largely from Leicester’s academy pathway. He moved from Leicester U18 to Leicester U21 on 1 July 2025 before making the temporary switch to the League Two side.
Otchere, who holds English and Ghanaian nationality, joins Cheltenham as a central attacking option. His contract with the club is due to expire at the end of the loan period, with the established return to Leicester U21 forming part of the transfer arrangement.
Cheltenham have therefore completed the recruitment of Otchere without a permanent transfer, adding the Leicester forward to their squad for the 2026-27 season.
