The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has indicated that he is determined to build a formidable side before the start of the 2026/27 football season.
The coach and his team are currently in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where they have set up a three-week residential pre-season camp.
Speaking in a post-match interview after Medeama SC defeated Yamoussoukro FC on Wednesday, Ibrahim Tanko disclosed that he wants to go into the new season with a very strong competitive team.
“We hope that we go through the pre-season without any injury. We are preparing for the league and the CAF Champions League. We want to build a very formidable team with a strong bench. We are working hard, and so the supporters should keep on praying for us,” Tanko told Medi TV.
With a first friendly match out of the way, Medeama SC are scheduled to play four additional friendlies before returning to Ghana.
