Ghanaian representatives Medeama SC and Nations FC will discover their opponents for the 2026-27 CAF inter-club competitions when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducts the preliminary round draws in Cairo on Thursday.
Medeama will compete in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League after winning the Ghana Premier League title, while MTN FA Cup holders Nations FC will make their continental debut in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
The draws will determine the preliminary round fixtures and the route both clubs must navigate in their bid to reach the group stages of their respective competitions.
The Confederation Cup draw is scheduled for 14:00 Cairo time (11:00 GMT), with the Champions League draw taking place an hour later at 15:00 Cairo time (12:00 GMT). Both ceremonies will be streamed live on CAF TV.
A total of 61 clubs have entered this season's CAF Champions League, while 56 teams will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Medeama will be aiming to build on their previous continental experience, while Nations FC hope to make an immediate impact in their maiden appearance on the African stage. Both clubs will be hoping for favourable ties as they seek to enhance Ghana's presence in continental club football.
