Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Oduro Sarfo, has confirmed that the FA remain in talks with other coaches to take over Black Stars coaching job.
The future of Carlos Queiroz has been left undecided despite guiding the senior national team to the knockout phase of the 2026 World Cup in North America.
The 73-year-old was appointed in April, replacing Otto Addo on a short-term deal.
It was expected that Queiroz would be retained as the head coach on a long-term deal, but his demands have become a hindrance to the GFA extending his stay.
"The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is still in talks with other coaches for the Black Stars job," Oduro Sarfo told Kumasi-based Ezra Radio.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are now expected to return to competitive action in September when they begin their qualification campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana has been drawn in Group C alongside neighbours Ivory Coast, The Gambia and Somalia.
The four-time African champions will be seeking to secure a return to the continental showpiece after failing to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
