Ghanaian agent Daniel Boifio Jr has revealed that Sevilla’s interest in young winger Emmanuel Abrokwa dates back to a training programme in Valencia in 2025.
Abrokwa recently completed his move from Adabraka Elders to Sevilla, signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until June 2029.
Boifio Jr, who brokered the move alongside Jorge Garcia of SBE Management, told Footy-Africa.com that Sevilla’s youth sporting director first watched Abrokwa during the training programme.
“Abrokwa was part of a training programme in Valencia in 2025, and Sevilla’s sporting director spotted him. Since then, they have been trying to bring him to Spain,” he said.
According to the agent, Sevilla’s interest grew from late 2025 as the club worked towards securing the Ghanaian winger.
Abrokwa will initially continue his development within Sevilla’s youth setup, with the club planning a gradual pathway towards the first team.
“Sevilla want him to progress gradually and make it to the first team,” Boifio Jr said. “The first six months will focus on helping him integrate, adapt to the environment and become an important player.”
He added that Sevilla have “absolute trust” in Abrokwa’s potential and believe the move provides the right environment for his development.
