Ghana defender Abdul Mumin has wasted no time in getting to work at his new club, taking to the training pitch just a day after completing his move to Spanish Segunda side Girona.
The 28-year-old centre-back, who arrived as a free agent after leaving Rayo Vallecano, has already joined his new teammates in training as he prepares for the upcoming season.
Mumin's move to Girona was confirmed earlier this week, with the defender signing a three-year deal after his contract with Rayo Vallecano expired. He was attracted to the Catalan club by their playing style and project.
"The main thing that attracted me to Girona, I think, is the club itself. I think it's a club with a lot of history, and the type of football that they play is very attractive," Mumin said in his first interview.
Mumin will be looking to establish himself in Girona's defence and help the club push for promotion to La Liga. His experience in Spanish football will be invaluable as he settles into his new surroundings.
The Ghana international will be hoping to rediscover the form that made him a key figure for Rayo Vallecano before injuries disrupted his time in Madrid.
