Evann Seyram Junior Senaya, the younger brother of Ghana defender Marvin Senaya, has joined Swiss second-tier side FC Rapperswil-Jona on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old joins the Swiss Challenge League side from giants FC Basel for the 2026/27 campaign.
The move is to help Junior Senaya earn more game time and experience as he continues his development in the Swiss leagues.
The son of former Togo international, who is eligible to represent France, Ghana and the country of his father, moved to Switzerland in 2019 and progressed three the ranks at Basel.
"FC Basel 1893 has loaned Evann Seyram Junior Senaya to FC Rapperswil-Jona for the 2026/27 season. No purchase option has been agreed upon,' posted Basel on their official website..
"The French-Togolese dual citizen joined FC Basel's youth academy in 2019 and has since progressed through all training levels up to the U21 team. The 20-year-old defender is now expected to gain regular playing experience in men's football at FC Rapperswil-Jona. Meanwhile, his brother, Marvin, who plays for Auxerre in Ligue 1, is recovering from an injury he sustained during the World Cup in the game against Colombia.
