Ghana left-back David Oduro has joined FC Annecy from Barca Atletic, beginning a new chapter in France’s Ligue 2 with a contract running until 30 June 2028.
The 20-year-old defender completed the move on 22 August 2026 after two seasons with Barca Atletic. Oduro joined the Spanish club from Ghanaian side Accra Lions in August 2024 for €150,000, having previously progressed from Accra Lions Under-17s into the senior team.
Oduro arrives at Annecy as a left-footed full-back. He is listed at 1.74 metres and has a market value of €200,000. His move takes him into French football after his time in Spain, where his recorded career appearances included matches in the Segunda Federacion and Primera Federacion.
The Ghanaian has also featured in the Premier League, recording 50 appearances, one goal and six assists. His record in the competition amounts to 4,089 minutes of football, while he made a further 23 appearances in the Segunda Federacion, scoring once and providing one assist.
Oduro’s period in the Barcelona system also brought a major youth honour. He was part of the FC Barcelona UEFA Under-19 side that won the UEFA Youth League in the 2024-25 season. He also appeared in the UEFA Youth League and the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup during his career.
The switch to Annecy gives Oduro a move into Ligue 2 at the age of 20, following his development in Ghana and Spain. His arrival continues a career that began at Accra Lions before taking him to Europe, where he spent the previous two seasons with Barca Atletic.
Oduro has now signed for FC Annecy through June 2028.
