The Central East Regional Police Command has stepped up efforts to clamp down on crime ahead of the festive season, carrying out intelligence-led operations in Kasoa Old Market, Awutu Breku, Gomoa Buduata, Senya Breku, and nearby areas.
The early morning swoops on 16th and 17th December led to the arrest of 33 suspects. Police recovered substances suspected to be Indian hemp and Tramadol, impounded 45 motorbikes, and retrieved a toy gun. Verification and documentation of the seized vehicles are ongoing, while suspects are being screened as investigations continue. Those found culpable will be taken to court.
The Command has advised the public to take safety precautions, including avoiding carrying large sums of money, moving in groups at odd hours, wearing crash helmets, complying with traffic regulations, and avoiding isolated areas.

In a statement, the Regional Police commended public cooperation and the dedication of officers in maintaining law and order throughout the year. The Command assured residents of its readiness to ensure a crime-free festive season and warned that offenders will face the full rigours of the law.
