The Leader and Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Madam Akua Donkor has accused members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being behind her arrest.
According to her, the NPP is peddling falsehood against her for speaking agaianst Government officials engaged in corrupt practices.
Madam Akua Donkor was today arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police for defrauding a disabled in a GHC10,500 land case.
But speaking to the media in Kumasi she denied having contact with her accuser.
‘I don’t know this woman from Adam, do you think she has that kind of money give me? she is being used by NPP to disgrace me, they are scheming my downfall but it will not work. I don’t hate Akufo-Addo but if things are not working well, I have to voice out my opinion,’ she claimed.
Madam Akua Donkor complained of spending hours at the police station with empty stomach.
Madam Akua Donkor is been accused of defrauding Ama Yeboah in 2009 after selling a family land of which she did not have rights/ documents to.
She has been transferred from the Kumasi central police to the Tafo police station, where the initial complaint was lodged.
