The head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has lamented over his team’s stalemate against Bechem United, insisting that the result was not a true reflection of the contest.
The Yellow and Mauves locked horns with the Hunters on Saturday in their Week 28 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
At the end of what turned out to be a tough contest, Bechem United and Medeama SC shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko argued that his team deserved to take all three points.
“I think one point in Bechem, it's not bad, but I don't think it's the reflection of the game, because when you look at the first half, we had enough chances to score, but we couldn't. I think in the end, like you said, one point in Bechem is okay,” Tanko said after the game.
Following the stalemate with Bechem United, Medeama SC have lost their place at the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings.
The team now in second trail Gold Stars by a point, ahead of the last seven matches of the season.
