Ghana international Ibrahim Osman was the star for Birmingham City FC on Wednesday night, scoring and providing an assist to lead the team to a 2-1 win over Preston North End in the English Championship.
In the Round 44 fixture played at St. Andrew’s Stadium, the on-loan forward showed his attacking quality right from the start as he took on defenders at every given opportunity.
Just 10 minutes into the first half, Osman set up Jay Stansfield with a fine pass. The forward made no mistake as he equalised to shoot Birmingham City into the lead.
Six minutes later, the Ghanaian received a pass on the flanks and decided to take matters into his own hands.
He went past his mark with the brilliant drop of the shoulder, cutting inside and unleashing an unstoppable curler into the right side of the post to give the home team a 2-goal cushion.
Unfortunately, Ibrahim Osman could only last 37 minutes of the contest due to an injury concern.
Despite coming off before the break, he still outscored all the players on the matchday after earning a top rating of 8.3.
In the end, Birmingham City secured all three points after claiming a 2-1 win, with Preston only netting a consolation goal through Andrew Hughes.
