Ghanaian midfielder Frank Junior Adjei came off the bench to earn Hammarby a 1â1 draw at home to Halmstads BK, capping an impressive cameo with a well-taken second-half goal.
The visitors struck first on 10 minutes when Otso Liimatta finished calmly from a Ludvig Arvidsson assist, and despite Hammarby’s dominance in possession, they went into the break trailing.
The game turned after the interval as head coach Martà Cifuentes introduced Adjei, who immediately injected energy and direct running into Hammarby’s attacks. His impact was rewarded in the 58th minute, arriving in the box to level the scores and send the 3Arena crowd into celebration. Hammarby pushed hard for a winner, racking up 20 shots and 77% possession, but Halmstads held firm to escape with a point.
In midfield, Adjei continues to grow in influence this season, with 4 Allsvenskan appearances, 1 goal and 1 assists so far in the 2026 campaign. The draw keeps Hammarby well placed in the top 4 as they now turn their focus to a tough Allsvenskan trip to Djurgården on Sunday.
