The Ghana Football Association (GFA), through the Ghana Football School and in collaboration with the University of Ghana’s Department of Physical Education and Sports Studies, will organise a Licence D Coaching Course from May 15 to May 22, 2026, at the University of Ghana.
The course forms part of the GFA’s efforts to strengthen grassroots football development and improve coaching education across the country.
The week-long programme is expected to equip aspiring coaches with fundamental coaching knowledge, football methodology, player development techniques and tactical understanding required in modern football.
A total of 40 participants have been selected for the training programme, which will bring together individuals from different backgrounds within Ghana football.
The Licence D Coaching Course serves as the starting point for formal coaching education under the GFA structure and is aimed at helping participants develop the skills needed to nurture young players at the grassroots level.
The initiative also reflects the GFA’s continued focus on improving coaching standards and creating stronger development pathways within youth and community football.
