Head Coach CK Akonnor and his Ghanaian backroom staff have helped Gor Mahia to clinch a 22nd Kenyan Premier League with two games to spare.
This was after their perennial rivals and title challengers AFC Leopards, who have played one game more, suffered a 2-1 defeat at APS Bomet on Sunday, May 24 2026 to give to K’Ogalo the advantage.
Gor Mahia, with two games in hand, sit atop the league table with 68 points; four more the AFC Leopards who have one game left.
The runaway champions had their week 33 fixture against Mara Sugar in Homa Bay cancelled due to a court issue. .
