Kojo Peprah Oppong has spoken for the first time as a Fenerbahçe player, expressing his excitement and gratitude after completing his transfer to the Istanbul club.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian defender, who arrived from OGC Nice following an impressive Ligue 1 campaign, was quick to thank the club's supporters and staff for their warm reception as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
"Thank you very much for the warm welcome," Peprah said in his first official interview. "I am very happy to be with this family. Everything was so organised. I can feel everything already, so I just can't wait to get started. I am so happy to be here."
The young centre-back's arrival at Fenerbahçe has been met with optimism, particularly after compatriot Alexander Djiku recently tipped him for big things, praising his athleticism and technical quality on the ball.
Peprah, who was one of Nice's standout performers last season, will now look to establish himself in José Mourinho's defensive setup. His ability to play out from the back and his physical presence are expected to add depth to a Fenerbahçe side aiming for domestic glory.
