THE GREEN OASIS - KAKUM NATIONAL PARK

Located in the southwest of the country, the national park is covered by a total area of more than 350 km² of jungle. Since 1990, the park has been home to countless animals and plants, including rare species of lions, buffaloes, and elephants. THE ARMED FORCES MUSEUM - THE HOUSE OF HISTORY

The Kumasi Fort was built in 1820 by King Osei Tutu Kwamina. He wanted to surpass in size and beauty the coastal forts built by European merchants. Because this was not appreciated, the house was destroyed by the English occupiers of the time but was rebuilt around 1890. Since then, this building has been considered a house of history of the region as well as Ghana's indigenous people and the continent in general. Sacred relics from African cultures as well as ancient artwork and writings can be found there.

THE FIRST EVER WILDLIFE RESERVE - MOLE NATIONAL PARK

Established in 1971, Mole National Park is not only the country's first wildlife park, but also Ghana's largest natural habitat for animals and plants, covering an area of more than 4,800 square kilometres. Although the park is more difficult to reach in the north of the country and the area is not necessarily well developed, Mole has made a name for itself. Safari and hiking tours are offered in the park, as well as nature and wildlife education. MOUNT AFADJATO - THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE COUNTRY

Although the mountain in the east of the country does not even crack the thousand marks with only 885 meters, the highest point of Ghana can be found here. Ironically, the international designation for these altitude meters is not even mountain, but just peak. Despite this, the relatively untouched region around Agumatsa is breathtakingly beautiful and invites hiking tours. From the top the view over the flat landscape is outstanding and you even have a good view of the neighbouring country Togo.

KINTAMPO WATERFALLS - THE HIGHEST WATERFALL IN GHANA

Near the larger town of Kintampo in the west of the country, a beautiful piece of nature is still almost untouched. A few kilometres from the gates of the city, here you can see the highest waterfall in the store and probably one of the most beautiful in the world. NZULEZO - THE FLOATING VILLAGE

In the very southwest of the country there is a small lake called Tadane. On it, members of the Qualata tribe created the floating village of Nzulezo hundreds of years ago, which to this day can only be reached by boat. Classified by UNESCO as a habitat to be protected, it is nevertheless possible for outsiders to visit this place and get to know the traditional fishing and lifestyle.
